JamDom Tournament General Rules (applies to all tournament types)

  1. Be present in the respective Tournament lounge at least 5 minutes before Start Time.
  2. Ensure you are not in idle Mode and pay attention to the chat in case your name is called.
  3. Use the Scroll Bar on the right of the tables to see lower tables.
  4. Quickly click on the seat where you see “Join Table”.
  5. If a player takes too long to play or have connection issues, he/she will be asked to fix the issue. If the delay continues he/she will be replaced.
  6. In consideration of all participants and to avoid delaying the tournament, if you haven’t taken your seat we’ll call your name only once in the lobby. We’ll wait 1 minute and if you haven’t taken your seat then it will be reassigned.
  7. By participating in a tournament, a player accepts the risk of Internet disconnection, due to problems with the connection between their computer and the servers, lag or freeze or some other problem in the player's computer or the Internet.
  8. JamDom does not accept any responsibility for a player disconnect except in the case of a server crash
  9. If a player loses connection during a game for more than 3 minutes a substitute will take the seat
  10. SPECTATORS, NO TYPING ON TABLES DURING TOURNAMENT (this applies to all rounds)
  11. Only Players with a Green Number beside their names on the Standing Chart will advance
  12. While games are in progress, it’s difficult to tell if you will or will not advance irrespective of a green/red number beside your name. Check the final Standing Chart once all matches have been completed.
  13. First substitute will be the first player with a red number beside his/her name so stick around to keep your place in line
  14. If a player takes too long to play or have connection issues, he/she will be asked to fix the issue. If the delay continues he/she will be replaced.

How Substitution Works

  1. VIP product comes with first priority seating as a sub in qualification round(s). This means a VIP is first to get a sub seat in the qualification round(s) (2 for Partners only) followed by the “standard” players who registered the earliest for tournament.
  2. Substitution for knock out rounds is based on performance so 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc player with red number on standing chart & present in lounge will be called as sub if required

How 3-Player Cut Throat Tournament works

  1. First player to 6 points wins in each Round.
  2. If 84 players start tourney then first cut will be top 81 players. If Less than 84 players start tourney then first cut will be top 27, then 9, then 3.
  3. From the qualification round, players will advance to Round 2 based on Points Earned.
  4. Starting from Round 2, only the Winner from each table will advance to the next Round.
  • Winner of final game wins the tournament irrespective of points previously earned

How 4-Player Cut Throat Tournament works

  1. First player to 6 points wins in each Round.
  2. From the qualification round, players will advance to Round 2 based on Points Earned as outlined below:
Example below shows how a player gain points:

    PLAYER 1 (5 pts), PLAYER 2 (6 pts), PLAYER 3 (3 pts), PLAYER 4 (0 pts)
    - To determine the points the winner (Player 2) will receive, first total the points of the non-winners: 5 + 3 + 0 = 8.
    - Then minus this sum from a maximum of 15 points: 15 - 8 = 7.
    - The winner (Player 2) will be assigned a score of 7 for this game
    - Player 1 (who did not win the set) would lose points for this match. The difference between their points and the winner’s points will be the deduction: 6 - 5 = 1.
    - Player 1 will lose 1 points for this game (-1). The closer your score is to the winner’s score, the better.
  3. Starting from Round 2, only the Top Two performers from each table will advance to the next Round. The Top Two performers will be the winner of the set as well as the person with the second highest score. If there is a tie for the second highest score, then the tie-breaker will be the player’s overall speed for that set.

  4. Winner of final game wins the tournament.

How French Tournament works

  1. Round 1 will “buss” at 200 points, all other rounds will “buss” at 100 points.
  2. From the qualification round, players will advance to Round 2 based on Points Earned as outlined below:

    PLAYER 1 (152 pts), PLAYER 2 (120 pts), PLAYER 3 (204 pts), PLAYER 4 (129 pts) Average the scores of the 3 players closest to or over “buss”: 152 + 204 + 129 / 3 = 161.66 Subtract winner’s score from average: 161.66 – 120 = 41.66 The winner (PLAYER 2) will be assigned a score of 41.66 for this game
PLAYER 1 (who did not win the set) would lose points for this match. The difference between their points and the winner’s points will be the deduction: 152 - 120 = 32.
PLAYER 1 will lose 32 points for this game (-32). The closer your score is to the winner’s score, the better.

  3. Starting from Round 2, only the Top Two performers from each table will advance to the next Round. The Top Two performers will be the winner of the set as well as the person with the second lowest score. If there is a tie for the second lowest score, then the tie-breaker will be the player’s overall speed for that set.

  4. Winner of final game wins the tournament.

How Across-the-Table Tournament works

  1. First round is qualification, therefore based on the amount of points earned.

  2. First round up to 10 points, all other rounds up to 6 points.

  3. Points are earned/lost based on the margin of the win/loss.

  4. All winners and some best losers (those who lost by a smaller margin eg.10-9) will advance to round 2.

  5. As of Round 2 (Knockout Stages), only winners will advance.

  6. Final match must be won by at least a 2-point margin.

How Partners Tournament Works

  1. ALL players (win or lose) will have 2 rounds to prove themselves with 2 random partners

  2. First team to 6 wins the set

  3. At the start of each round, the rank is calculated in the following order: number of games won, the margin of the win, and speed
    - If 2 players won the same amount of games by the same margin, then the player with the lower speed will advance

  4. Begining from Round 3 (Knockout Stages), only the winning team from each table will advance

  5. Final match must be won by at least a 2-point margin
